Fawn Manufacturing is looking for production workers to start immediately.
Manufacturing experience a plus, but not required. We are looking to fill the following positions:
- Forklift (2nd Shift)
- Assembly (2nd shift)
- Press Operator (2nd shift)
Must be able to lift up to 50 – 75 lbs., physically able to stand for up to (8) hours, do bending, twisting, grasping, and have the ability to grip sheet metal, pick/pack or assemble parts. Must be punctual and have a good attendance record. Education: high school or equivalent.

Engineer Internship - Summer 2018
The Wittern Group, the world’s largest manufacturer of automated dispensing equipment for the food service, medical, MRO and PPE markets, has an immediate opening for a Engineer Intern. This internship will be responsible for:
Perform testing of new vending machine embedded electronic control systems hardware, software and communications protocols and document results.
Assist in building prototype electrical/electronic modules, wire harnesses, test equipment and vending machines.
Assist in the development of test plans and procedures in conjunction with an Engineer.
Assist Engineer in investigation of electrical and electronic hardware/ software issues and determination of root cause problem and implementation of corrective action.
Provide support to manufacturing, service and production personnel as needed.
Assist in the investigation and development of potential automated tests using PC hardware, software and wireless interfaces.
Minimum of 2 years engineering, computer science or technical school experience, with emphasis or interest in electronics, embedded hardware, software and communications protocols.
“Hands on” type of person for work in a product development and testing environment.
Ability to work as a motivated “self-starter”, to work independently and complete work tasks.
Ability to use Microsoft Office suite software in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Familiarity with basic electrical and electronic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes and handheld digital voltage meters.
Any of the following items are desirable, however, not required:
Embedded 8 or 16 bit microprocessor electronics and software experience using assembler or C/C++ programming language.
Windows PC programming experience.
Smart Phone app development
Windows Serial and USB communications settings and interface.
Windows network communications implementation, setup and utilities.
Familiarity with Windows /Android smart phone communication settings interfaces and utilities.
Ability to solder electronic components a plus

Manufacturing Supervisor –
The Wittern Group, a leading manufacturer of vending machines, has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Supervisor in our Assembly department. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools, production control, computer systems applications and personnel management required. Prior experience in assembly line production preferred. This position is on first shift (7:30am – 4:00pm).
Qualified candidates must demonstrate effective mechanical aptitude and previous fabrication and mix model assembly line experience, along with prior experience managing a union workforce. The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) will lead and drive continuous improvement programs utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, manage labor standards, implement statistical process controls, provide leadership of key project teams working with multiple functional disciplines throughout the organization and lead daily problem solving teams to better meet customer needs.
The ME will champion development and maintenance of direct labor rate standards.
The ME is also charged with enhancing the company’s position with respect to manpower, processes, equipment and tooling to keep our manufacturing techniques as current and efficient as possible to maintain our competitive position in the market.
This person is responsible for the planning, specifying, designing and implementation of manufacturing systems including manufacturing process flow planning. This person must be current with respect to engineering technologies in system integration and manufacturing systems engineering to assure that the company’s manufacturing systems produce quality products, remain cost competitive, and continually improve.
Manages projects from concept to completion including CAD designs, searching and locating suppliers, writing specifications, obtaining quotes, scheduling contractors, and managing project timelines and budgets.
Engineering works with minimal direction from the Plant Manager, who sets broad direction and goals.
Provides instructions and direction to tool and die makers, set-up technicians, and maintenance technicians in the course of projects.
Provides training and direction to junior engineers in the context of project teams and activities.
The position actively supports the new product development and launch process by providing manufacturability input, representing production needs and concerns, building prototypes and designing equipment.
The ME supports the plants and production personnel in their goals to improve safety, quality, delivery, and reduce costs and scrap.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, required.
Minimum 3 years total experience in progressively responsible positions in the field of specialty.
Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment dealing with manufacturing projects.
Proficient designing molded parts, sheet metal parts, and assemblies.
Minimum of four years’ experience with solid modeling CAD development tools.
Experience with Solid Works, preferred.
Extensive knowledge of various types of manufacturing equipment and the limitations.
Experience working with other engineers and designers to define constraints and requirements.
Experience in LEAN environment, a plus.
Proven analytical skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
Solid organizational abilities, attention to detail.
Proficient in the knowledge and use of MS Office (Word, Excel).
